I have worked in communications and PR for all of my career. My most recent appointment was with the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT), which I joined as Head of Media thirteen years ago. I now work on a freelance basis, specialising in farming, conservation and rural affairs.
Working with the team of brilliant scientists at the GWCT was a wonderful learning experience. My role was to ensure that their research on topics ranging from healthy soils and pollinators to conserving grey partridge and saving water voles was reported widely in the media. As a consequence, we were regularly featured in national press as well as broadcast, trade magazines and countryside titles.
As a passionate amateur cook, good ingredients and how they are produced are important to me. Knowing that our food is grown in a sustainable way is vital for all our futures and I feel privileged that through Agricology I am able to work in a field that not only interests me but enables me to spread this important message.
I love walking my gorgeous yellow Labrador in the wonderful Wiltshire countryside and when time permits, I like to get out my paints or camera to capture rural scenes.
