Event
Low Tillage Winter Forage Production
Join Soil Association for this technical event to explore approaches to growing winter forage crops using non-plough based systems
This farm walk at Tregooden Farm will focus on the technicalities of growing winter forage crops using non-plough-based systems.
Through attending this event:
- You will hear from the practical experiences of Tregooden Farm, who are acting as a demonstration farm for the Agroecology at Scale project.
- You will see how Tregooden are using strip till and direct drilling to reduce the cultivations necessary to produce winter forage.
- You will learn more about producing maize and arable silage or wholecrops without the use of tillage and associated negative impacts on soil health .
Thank you to Malcolm and Catherine Barrett for hosting this event.
The event is free to attend, a pasty lunch and refreshments will also be included.
