A Practical Introduction to Hedgelaying
Take part in this one-day course at Strickley Farm near Kendal to learn the practical skills and knowledge required to lay and maintain a hedgerow.
The day will begin with a quick tour of Strickley’s hedgerow management and the role they play in our farm management and the benefits to livestock and wildlife. Then it’s out to the hedge to learn the basics of hedgelaying before getting everyone hands on with an axe and billhook.
Claire Whittle & James Robinson will be on hand to share their experience and help everyone become more confident in hedgelaying.
A hot homemade lunch is included in the ticket price.
