Soil Health: Beyond NPK
Regular soil analysis, including soil organic matter (SOM) is now a requirement for all farmers and crofters receiving Basic Payments. Join the Soil Association Scotland and guests for an exploration into a biologically active soil; truly going beyond the usual NPK analysis.
Speakers
- Philip Sheane of Steading & Co, on his journey from conventional arable in Ireland and Canada to an organic and regenerative farm in Fife
- Holly Silvester, the Gaia Foundation’s Future Resilience Seed Coordinator, Churchill Fellow and CREATE alumnus, about her experience of building healthy soils in horticulture
- Karen Fisher (Soil Association Farming Adviser) who will talk us through soil analysis and interpretation of soil test results.
