Visit to Chatsworth Old Park with the Ancient Tree Forum
The ATF Yorkshire and East Midlands local group would like to welcome you on this walk to discover veteran and ancient trees in the natural landscape.
Explore the normally inaccessible, historic Old Park within the Chatsworth Estate, designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The site has many ancient oak trees and contains the oldest trees on the site, which pre-date the 18th Century park designed by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown. These ancient trees provide diverse wildlife habitats in this protected environment.
