Field lab Farm Walk and Workshop
Join Innovative Farmers and Farm Carbon Toolkit at Higher Thornton Farm for an afternoon learning about how protein-rich, diverse leys can influence lamb resilience to worms and enhance production.
Advisors, researchers, host farmer Chris Berry and other field lab triallists will discuss the results from the latest on-farm trials. We will also cover good practice for managing sheep to reduce the need for parasite treatment, breeding for worm tolerance, and good grazing management of herbal leys to capitalise on their environmental, productive and financial benefits.
