Going organic: Funding, supply chain and market opportunities for farmers

Date : 27th April 2026 | 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Venue : Online

There’s exciting momentum in the organic sector right now. The market has grown in Scotland by 20.6% in five years. There’s strong government commitment to grow supply and demand of organic in Scotland with the UK’s first ever funded Organic Action Plan, launched in Scotland earlier this year. With an organic funding window currently open via the Agri-Environment Climate Scheme, now is the time if you are considering organic conversion for your farm business.

Join Soil Association Scotland organic experts and farmers at this online event to hear about the financial, supply chain and market opportunities available to organic farmers right now. They will share information on:

  • The Scottish Organic Plan and what this means for farmers
  • The funding available via the Agri-Environment Climate Scheme
  • Where the opportunities are within a growing market, with NielsenIQ data available for Scotland for the first time
  • A discussion with organic farmers on supply chain opportunities

There will also be a Q&A including a certification expert to answer any questions about the conversion process.
