This is a practical day of ‘how-to’ and filled with ‘can-do’, so you can build trust, foster greater connection and educate young people and wider society about the vital role of sustainable agriculture.

Timings:
09.30: Arrival, refreshments and networking
10.00 – 11.00: Opening remarks from David Webster, LEAF CEO and Carl Edwards, LEAF Director, Communication, Engagement and Education, shares highlights of LEAF’s education work
11.00 – 13.00: Morning workshops: diving into the core of sustainable farming—from soil and water to nature conservation, engaging communities, crops, and livestock.
Workshops will run for 40 minutes with participants rotating through the sessions.
13.00 – 13.45: Lunch & Networking
13.45 – 15.15: Afternoon workshops: exploring key themes in sustainable farming—soil, water, nature, crops, livestock, and community engagement OR A tour ofLockerley Estate, hosted by Craig Livingstone, Farm Manager supported by the LEAF Technical Team.
Participants will have the option to attend either the scheduled workshops or take part in the guided farm tour which will be offered as an alternative to one of the workshop sessions.
15.15 – 16.00: Marketplace & Networking: Connect, explore, and share—visit resource stalls, chat with the LEAF team, and network with fellow participants.
16.00 – 16.15: Closing remarks and evaluation
