Overview: Kate Collyns has just released her new book How to Start a Market Garden an updated edition of Gardening For Profit, which was published back in 2013. In this webinar Kate will be in conversation with Phil Sumption talking about her journey and how she came to start her market garden, and the challenges she had to overcome, and continues to face. She will explain the reasons for writing the book and answer questions for anyone interested in setting up for themselves.
About Kate Collyns
Kate started her own organic market garden in Wiltshire from scratch in 2011, and now grows tonnes of food every year to sell to her local community. She is the Chair of Bath and Bristol Organic Growers Group and a regular contributor to Organic Grower magazine. Kate has also written two books on growing and thoughtful gardening.
About Phil Sumption
Phil Sumption has had nearly 40 years experience as an organic grower, researcher, adviser and communicator. He is freelance and has worked with Garden Organic, The Organic Research Centre, Agricology and the Organic Growers Alliance. He is editor of The Organic Grower and author of The Organic Vegetable Grower.
