Soil Health is Human Health

Date : 3rd March 2026 | 11:45 am - 2:00 pm
Venue : FarmED, Honeydale Farm, Station Road, Chipping Norton, OX7 6BJ

About the event

Join Microbz to find out how microbes in the gut are essential to digest food, improve immunity, reduce inflammation and produce hormones and essential chemicals for the brain. The event will also widen this lens to include discussing how microbes work in soil and how essential they are for our food and farming systems.

Jeff and Katie are a dad and daughter team running microbz – a business in Wiltshire making fermented probiotics. They harvest, brew and bottle micro-organisms from soil and make these into probiotic formulas for gut health, gardening, cleaning, pets and farming. For more than 20 years they have perfected the process and now make high quality UK made products and in using them, they have seen big changes in their health and the health of their land.

Learn about microbz trial work with livestock and arable farmers, examining how microbes can help bring biology back to soils, support the growth of plants and increase nutrient density. Jeff and Katie will also showcase their composting work both for larger farms and municipal waste as well as what to do at home and back garden.

There will also be free samples of probiotics for you to take home and try for yourself!

After the talk, you will get a freshly prepared, nutritious lunch from the FarmED Cafe where you will be able to network with other guests. Please arrive at 11:45 am. The talk will start at midday, and lunch will be served at 1:00 pm.
