Phil stockerPhil Stocker is Chief Executive of the National Sheep Association, a role he took up in late 2011 after a ‘career diversion’ took him from practical farming in 1997 to work for the Soil Association where the subject of sustainability and farming was core. Speaking of this topic he says “I can’t describe how important sustainable farming is to me – it’s everything that keeps our ecosystems and communities healthy while feeding us.  Economics often disrupts any ‘ideal’ but it can’t be avoided and has to be reconciled as best we can.”
