Phil Sumption

I am a freelance writer, editor and communicator with 35 years experience of  organic farming as a grower, researcher and adviser, primarily in the UK. I have a wealth of experience in the field of organic agriculture, horticulture and genetic resources. With my practical background I have focused on bridging the gap between research and practice.

I have worked with the Organic Research Centre in the UK as Research Communications Officer, the Organic Growers Alliance, Garden Organic and the Seed Cooperative. I am editor of ‘The Organic Grower’ and the ‘ORC Bulletin.’ I am author of ‘The Organic Vegetable Grower, published by The Crowood Press in November 2023. I was involved in establishing Agricology and am now working for Agricology on a freelance basis. I am now based in Germany. Phil Sumption – Bio Communications
