Countryside COP4: 04 – 08 November 2024

Farming Together to Achieve Net Zero

Countryside COP is back this 04 – 08 November, bringing together the rural community and businesses to showcase and inspire activity ahead of COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 11 – 22 November 2024.

Now in its fourth year, Countryside COP provides a platform for anyone interested in the countryside to hear how the UK’s rural economy and agriculture can help tackle climate change and improve sustainability. Spokespeople from farming, local authority, education, research, finance and more will set out the challenges and vision for farming and the countryside.

Agricology are delighted to be hosting general information and the programme for 2024. Read on to find out more…

What is Countryside COP about and who can be involved?

  • Countryside COP is modelled on the themes of COP29. These are used as a guide and organisations are free to schedule their event when best suits them.
  • Countryside COP is a mix of virtual and live events to suit host organisations and their audiences.
  • Any organisation with an interest in the rural economy can host their own events to debate and discuss key issues over the week 04 – 08 November.
  • Hosts are encouraged to submit their key policy asks to the Agriculture and Land Use Alliance to compile into a collaborative statement for government.

Why get involved in Countryside COP?

The Countryside COP allows the rural community and UK agriculture to set the agenda and will serve to amplify policy asks and other messaging through many voices.

Access the CountrysideCOP4 Framework for event hosts here.

All interested organisations and individuals are welcome to collaborate.
