Training Opportunities at The Apricot Centre
The School of Land-Based Studies based at the Apricot Centre in Totnes offers a wide range of courses in regenerative farming. Applications are still open for the 2025/ 2026 academic year, with Cohort 1 commencing in September and Cohort 2 in December or January.
The courses currently on offer include:
Level 2 Skills Bootcamp in Regenerative Land-Based Systems
- Intended to introduce people to the world of regenerative farming and help them gain skills for furthering their work and becoming part of the future of farming.
Level 3 Skills Bootcamp in Agroecological System Design
- Intended to help people in growing and farming to upskill and implement agroecological regenerative design methods on their land, in their jobs or business, and upcoming projects and prospects. The Level 3 incorporates a Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC).
Level 4 Skills Bootcamp in Agroecological System Design
- Intended to help people in growing and farming to upskill and implement agroecological regenerative design methods on their land, in their jobs or business, and upcoming projects and prospects. The Level 4 focuses on advanced design methodology, the product of which can be counted towards a Permaculture Diploma or Certificate in Applied Permaculture Design.
Level 4 Yearlong Diploma In Regenerative Land-Based Systems: Agroecology
- Intended for people already working in land-based practices who would like to move into regenerative practices or expand their current practices.
Permaculture Design Certificate
- The Permaculture Design Course uses creative and practical teaching methods to enable you to develop and experience the principles and practices of permaculture design, with emphasis on guiding you to design in groups and individually with support from your tutors. This structure equips you with the skills to go on to design and implement your own larger farms, smallholding, community gardens, or even your back garden.
