Legumes: The Secret Ingredient for Healthier Soils and Business Success
Join LEAF for an insightful webinar that will explore the environmental and economic benefits of integrating novel legume varieties onto farm.
LEAF are proud to be part of Project NUE-Leg, a pioneering agricultural research project dedicated to enhancing sustainable farming practices through the integration of legumes into grassland systems. The project aims to utilise the natural nitrogen-fixing abilities of legumes and in doing so reduce reliance on synthetic fertilisers, improve soil health and benefit overall farm sustainability. Building on the project aims, join our ‘NUE’ webinar on the 3rd of December which will support you in transforming farming business, through exploring the benefits of integrating novel legume varieties onto farms.
You will get the chance to hear directly from two guest speakers:
- John Renner, a LEAF Demonstration Farmer and NUE-Leg project farmer, from North Bellshill farm in Northumberland.
- William Fleming from Germinal, who has been guiding John in recognising both the environmental and economic advantages of these novel legumes for management of his farm.
Together, they will share invaluable insights on how these crops can boost soil health, enhance animal welfare, and drive measurable success on-farm.
