Understanding farmer and soil microbial interactions – farmer input needed!
Mary Eliza, a PhD student at the Department of Animal and Plant Sciences, University of Sheffield, is looking for farmers to fill out a survey designed to help understand the potential of rhizobial inoculants. She writes:
“My PhD project is ‘Utilising the soil microbiome for sustainable agriculture in the UK: drawing from rhizobial inoculants and farmer knowledge.’ As part of it I am aiming to understand farmer and soil microbial interactions through a survey which takes 5-10 minutes to complete. If you are involved in farming, urban growing and related activities, please fill out this survey and help me to understand your knowledge and insight into the soil microbiome and related practices. The last date for completing the survey is 1st October 2021 and there will be a lucky draw for the participants with a one-time £150 voucher for the winner. Thank you very much for your help and participation.”
