Farm of the Future Women’s Day

Date : 28th August 2025 | 9:30 am - 3:00 pm
Venue : Conygree Farm, Aldsworth, Cheltenham GL54 3PW

Join The Royal Agricultural Society (RASE) at Conygree Farm for a hands-on exploration of regenerative, agroecological farming in action. Led by Mel and Jonty Brunyee, this immersive day features a detailed farm walk through their organic, Pasture for Life-certified system – encompassing traditional Hereford cattle, Cotswold sheep, wildflower meadows, and a thriving market garden.

Mel and Jonty will share how their approach balances productivity with ecology, integrating farm profitability with environmental stewardship. They’ll also offer insights into their collaborations with the Emergent Generation and their work within a local farmer cluster tackling sustainability challenges.

Claire Whittle, a farmer, dung beetle champion and veterinary surgeon, will delve into the relationship between soil health and farm system resilience, connecting science to everyday practice.

A structured group discussion and women’s storytelling circle will offer space for personal reflections, peer learning, and connection in a welcoming, inclusive setting. Children are welcome, recognising that access to events shouldn’t come at the cost of childcare.

Attendance is free and includes refreshments, a farm-sourced BBQ lunch, and all sessions.

Please note: This event is exclusively for practising women farmers – those actively managing or working on farms across the UK. This event is not open to agribusiness professionals, consultants, researchers, or students unless they also farm in a hands-on, decision-making capacity.
