Soil secrets with Joel Williams: Berkshire (arable and livestock)
Join AHDB for the first Newbury Monitor Farm meeting of the season with host Rob Waterston. They will be joined by Joel Williams, independent plant and soil health educator and consultant, to discuss how rethinking your business through the lens of biodiversity can help unlock hidden potential.
This event will benefit farmers across all sectors, from arable to beef, sheep and dairy.
What this meeting will cover
- Power of biodiversity made simple – from soil biology to crop and sward diversification – what are the straightforward, practical steps we can next take on-farm?
- Soil and grain assessments and nutrition – how an integrated approach can unlock farm profitability and business resilience
- Monitor Farm results and discussion panel – including soil and grain analysis from Rob Waterston and performance results of grazing GS4 mixes
Registration and refreshments will be available from 10:00am, with presentations commencing at 10:30am. Lunch will be provided.
BASIS and NRoSO points will be available for attending.
