Soil secrets with Joel Williams: Herefordshire (arable and livestock)
Join the AHDB for the first Hereford Monitor Farm meeting of the season with hosts Adam Lewis, Jack Hopkins, Martin Carr and Rob Beaumont.
They will be joined by Joel Williams, independent plant and soil health educator and consultant, to discuss how rethinking your business through the lens of biodiversity can help unlock hidden potential.
This event will benefit farmers across all sectors, from arable to beef and dairy.
Bring lots of questions and expect actionable, evidence-based advice and practical solutions that you can implement on your farm.
This meeting will cover
- Power of biodiversity made simple – from soil biology to crop and sward diversification – what are the straightforward, practical steps we can next take on-farm?
- Soil assessments and plant nutrition – how an integrated approach can unlock farm profitability and business resilience
- Fertiliser strategy – unpicking the role of inorganic fertilisers and organic manures in crop and animal production and how to optimise uptake
Registration and lunch will be available from 1:00pm, with presentations commencing at 1:20pm.
BASIS and NRoSO points will be available for attending.
The event is free to attend, but spaces are limited, so please register to secure your spot and allow us to cater accordingly.
