Virtual Field Day: Getting started with Agroecological farming

Date : 28th April, 2020 4:00 pm
Venue : Online Event - Webinar

Agriculture is facing huge challenges; blackgrass, antibiotic resistance, extremes of weather and volatile supply chains, are forcing us to consider other ways of doing things.

Agroecology provides an opportunity to all farmers and growers to enhance their farming systems to become more resilient, efficient and sustainable. This virtual field day will provide an opportunity to learn about how different farmers are making agroecological approaches work on their farms – regardless of labels.

Katie Bliss (Agricology) will be chatting with George Young (Fobbing Farms, Essex) and David Rose (Home Farm, Notts) about their motivations and practical experiences of moving towards an agroecological approach. Sharing practical insights and tips for those looking to take steps in the same directions. See the Introduction here from George Young: https://youtu.be/4A99vrB3dWk

This was originally planned as a podcast – but inlight of social distancing – we would like to give you the opportunity to join us! There will be an opportunity to ask questions and join the discussion to support you in applying an agroecological approach on your farm.

How do I join?

1. Register here to book your free place

2. We will send details and instructions to those registered before the event. It will be hosted as a meeting on the web platform zoom. You can join in 2 ways;

  • On a laptop or mobile using the free to use zoom platform which will enable video and chat function
  • Dial in from any landline or mobile to the call – but will not be able to see video or join in the chat

Don’t worry, its relatively simple! 🙂 If you have any questions email enquiries@agricology.co.uk

The session will be around 1 hour with opportunity for discussion / questions and general chin wag at the end.

Note: This discussion will also be recorded and published as a podcast
