Jonty Brunyee
I am the tenant of a 75 hectare National Trust farm in the Cotswolds and a senior lecturer in farm business management, agri-tourism and food chain at the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester. I lead the Regenerative Agriculture Accelerator Programme in the Cotswolds and the Emergent Generation youth network, and am a founder of the North East Cotswolds Farmer Cluster. I was previously the director of the Pasture-Fed Livestock Association, working to promote beef, lamb and milk from pasture, and a Nuffield Farming Scholar 2015.
I grew up on an arable farm in Nottinghamshire before studying Rural Resource Management at Seale Hayne and working as a FWAG and National Trust Farm & Countryside adviser. I later worked with Cumulus Consultants on an exciting range of food, farming and environmental projects.
My passion is regenerative organic agriculture with a focus on species-rich grassland management, pasture-fed production and rare breeds. I aim to turn sunlight into Sunday dinner, selling our Traditional Hereford beef and Cotswold Lamb direct to the local consumer. We must work with nature not against it.
