Proposed changes to the food and farming standards
We’re updating all of our organic standards to make them as straightforward, practical and transparent as possible. We want our standards to have the maximum impact with the minimum hassle for licensees. This consultation is your chance to have your say on our proposals for key areas of our food and farming standards, to help shape them further. This consultation is open until 9am on Wednesday 14th December.
What’s this consultation about?
We’re seeking views on our proposals for the following standards:
- Farming and growing
- Recent amendments to food additives and processing aids

- Beekeeping
This consultation is relevant to all licensees – farmers, growers and processors, Soil Association members, scientists, vets and others with an interest in organic food and farming.
